The beautiful nature of his voice and the seductiveness of his tunes create a spiritual atmosphere for connection. Oxlade intertwines his melancholic flows in a way it connotes joy and brings nothing but smiles to his audience.

Young and vibrant, Oxlade takes the stage giving hope to other young lads in the game. He has repeatedly told the story of how his life changed from squatting with a friend in the busy city of Lagos, getting kicked out by his friend and being famous in less than a year.

Ikuforiji Abdulrahman Olaitan also known as Oxlade has been on several classic tunes following his outrageous performance on Blaqbonez’s ‘Mamiwota’ released in 2019. The song was more like an open heaven for the young Afrobeat prince. Oxlade rode on this fame to initiate some unimaginable collaboration with DJ TunezReekado BanksMelvittoFalz and Julz.

After scoring some points in the streaming platforms courtesy of these collaborations and pronouncing his breakthrough to mainstream, Oxlade takes the bull by the horn to dish out his debut project. The ‘Oxygene EP’ by the young Afrobeat prince is nothing but classic. The flows, delivery, vibes and melodies are unique and unfathomable.

Oxlade dished out this 6-track EP on March 20th 2020. Moelogo on ‘Tables turn’ is the only featured artiste on the project. Oxlade perfected this masterpiece before dishing out. He was not just in a haste to cement his breakthrough; he needed to leave a mark behind which he has successfully done.

Being the prince of afrobeat is a huge office to occupy in our ever growing industry. Oxlade knew exactly what was expected of him. He fine-tuned his voice even the more reproducing six awesome tunes we just can’t get enough of
